December 29, 2019 Thought for the week
29/12/19 16:27
My dear Jesus, my Savior, is so deeply written in my
heart, that I feel confident that if my heart were to
be cut open and chopped to pieces, the name of Jesus
would be found written on every piece.“ –
Ignatius.
Can each of us say the same?

Two
verses to Consider as we approach the New Year:
“One
thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and
straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on
toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of
God in Christ Jesus.”
(Phil.
3:13,
14). After
all, this may be the year we see Him face to face,
amen? Are you ready?
Next Week: Baby Bottle Campaign kicks off. See Vicki for deta.ils.
Other Coming Events
Su nday, January 19 –
Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.
Sunday, January 26 – Annual Meeting.
“Thank you so much for praying for the SAUKES…Last Sunday, Linda was able to be moved home from rehab. Her fractures are mending well, and she now is on in-home health care. There are still months of healing ahead. Please continue to pray for our family.” – Tim Sauke
Prayer Family of the Week: Woodie Woods.
This old year is almost over, soon a new one will begin,
A year full of many question marks, of what will be in
The brand new year ahead, what we may have to face
There will be happy moments, and for others we need His grace.
We know that God’s perfect plans are already in the making,
And His love is right there too, just for the taking.
We know God’s Word is full of promises, for me and for you,
So we keep ever before us what you want us to do.
We need to always put God first, to share our faith with others,
Honor God above all, but also our fathers and our mothers
Listen for God’s guidance as He leads us in His ways,
And humbly bow before Him for the rest of our days.

Prayer Family of the Week:. Al and Gay Washabaugh
What makes Christmas such a special season?
Why do we celebrate it; what’s our reason?
Not just for gifts and parties and such
But it’s God’s own Son who means so much
We do enjoy time with friends and family
Store up many a holiday memory,
But we celebrate because God showed His love
By sending Jesus down from up above,
To experience life down here below
And show us just how we ought to go
We need His help, we need His love
To get us ready for our life above
Jesus, thank you for your sacrifice
For your loving guidance to make us wise,
So we can live as You want us to,
But we just can’t do it without You.

Thank you for joining us as we worship God this
morning. Our goal
is that you will discover the love, acceptance and forgiveness of both Jesus and His Body, the church.
THANKS to Bev and all of those who planned, prepared, set up, and contributed to the very delightful All-Church Christmas Paarty/Dinner yesterday afternoon. It is so special to celebrate the birth of our Savior with our true spiritual family here at P. A. E. F. C. isn’t it?

Prayer Family of the Week:. Dick and Vicki Taylor.
We hold this day very special, the celebration of Jesus’ birth
When He came from heaven above to visit us on this earth,
To be born in little Bethlehem as prophets had foretold
To receive precious gifts, frankincense and myrrh and gold
Could those gifts have been provision for their time in Egypt so
God met their every need, and He knew they had to go
To fulfill scriptural prophecy, to make everything fit
God had it all arranged, planned out He took care of it.
And by sending Jesus He took care of our needs too
The greatest need we’ll ever have is to have our sins forgiven
So we can spend eternity with our Almighty loving God in heaven.
He planned it all so long ago, knowing mankind would fall.
So He gave to us a second plan that could solve it all,
Jesus was to come to us, to live His life perfectly
So that Jesus’ righteousness could be attributed to you and me
And by His perfect sacrifice our sins are washed away
What a glorious plan it is and it still works today
We thank you with all our hearts for all that you have given,
A chance to learn, a chance to grow until we leave for heaven

Thought for the Week:
“Worshipping God is nothing but opening our hearts to the love of God, quickening our conscience to the Holiness of God purging our imagination with the beauty of God, filling our minds with the truth of God and committing our purposes to the will of God.“

Jesus, we welcome you to this earth, and to our lives, as well,
The very Son of God you are as prophets did foretell,
You came to us from heaven above to free us from our sin,
To help us find the way to go, our new life to begin
The God who created the universe came as a baby small,
Not born in an earthly palace, but in a humble manger stall
You lived an earthly human life tempted as we are too,
But you resisted every single one and we want to be just like you,
And so we want to worship you, to praise you and rejoice
With thankful hearts, with songs of praise from each and every voice
So Jesus, our Savior, our hope, our Lord, our holy righteous king,
We thank you for your love for us, our God who made everything.
