“We are not asked to (simply) believe the doctrine of the Resurrection. We are asked to meet this person raised from
the dead.”

SPECIAL THANKS to all who participated either at church or at home in PRAYER WEEK 2018. It was a very special week. Now as we wait for God’s wise and good answers to our prayers,
we continue to seek Him in prayer on Wednesday nights, true? Anyway, thanks again.
.
Prayer family for the week: Evie Dykstra and daughter Jeanie.

This is the season to celebrate the miracle of God’s great love
That He planned so long ago from His throne above
He gave to us alternatives, some choices that we could make
To live our lives only for Him, or to make a grave mistake.
That mistake, that free will choice, was the start of earthly sin,
It changed man’s life, changed his heart and the world we live in.
Because of sin we were bound to earth, separated from God,
We live our earthly lives and then return to sod.
Then Jesus came to earth for us, He lived and then He died
And the ransom price of our every sin was satisfied.
We come to the Father through Jesus alone
Because only His cleansing blood can atone
For every sin both great and small;
The sacrifice of Jesus covers it all,
So Jesus rose to be glorified,
Returning to the Father’s right side.
Thank you Father for sending Your Son,
For freeing us from sin, He’s the only one
Who has the power, who really ever can
Fulfill in every way Your perfect plan for man.
We give to You our heart-felt thanks for this perfect plan,
Jesus brought to us salvation, Son of God and son of man.

Lord, prepare our fainting hearts
For the suffering of our heavenly king
For the knowledge that what He had to endure
Was because of us and everything
Our human nature allowed us to do
That broke Your heart because of our sin
Made Jesus have to come to earth for us
To free us so that we could win
Forgiveness, cleansing, a new nature too,
So we can grow to be more like You.
What love it took to come to earth
From heaven’s great perfection
And sacrifice your holy self
To death and resurrection.
It thrills us so to realize
How magnificent is Your love
That it brought You here for such as us
So we can join You up above.

It’s time to enjoy a taste of spring,
A time of great renewal for everything.
For primrose, pink and yellow and white,
Quince and lilac to delight.
Resurrection Sunday will soon be here,
One of the most important days in the year.
It’s time to think of what it means,
To picture history’s many scenes
And Jesus’ sacrifice of love
To prepare us for our lives above.
We thank You a million times or more
For opening that heavenly door.

(see insert in bulletin for details).

Prayer family for the week: Don Berg.

God’s year begins in springtime
When earth wakes from winter’s sleep
The beginning of a new year,
With promises to keep
The weather warms, no more snow
The storms of winter gone,
The grass turns green, the flowers grow
The sun comes out more often
Shining on the waiting earth,
Helping it to soften.
Trees and bushes leaf and bud,
Brand new growth appears,
The birds return to build their nests
Their sweet songs fill our ears,
Lord we thank you for all these wonders
These great works in Your plan
Have given us a beautiful earth
A wonderful home for man.
