It’s here!! Our THANKSGIVING PRAISE AND TESTMIONY SERVICE. This is an opportunity for you to share with your church family reports of how God has been working in your life or in the lives of others, or through prayer. You might even want to share how you became a Christian or some insight God has given you through His Word. For what are you thankful to God this week? Will you share those thoughts with your church family today?

THANKS to everyone who filled a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child. Our 23 boxes were turned in on Monday. Please continue to pray for the children who will receive these boxes, that they will participate in “The Greatest Journey” and learn about Jesus.

F. Y. I. -Due t o holiday schedules
, there will be NO SO/SEW TOGETHER TIMES until the fourth Monday of January. Thanks.

Nourish Pierce County – During the month of November we are having a special emphasis on donations for the Food Bank. During this month we want to especially bless those who are needy in our community. For more information, read the back of this bulletin.

“To our very special and wonderful church family. Praying that God, by His Holy Spirit, and for the glory of Jesus, might fill each of you with joy and gratitude as we go through this special Thanksgiving week. We are thankful for you.” --Pastor Jim and Susan.

Prayer Family of the week: Susan Smith.

Thanks-giving is a habit we should practice every day
Looking for our blessings, at the everlasting way
That God takes care of us, that every need is met.
He provides our food and shelter, so let us not forget
To thank our Heavenly Father for what He does provide
And for being our ever loving ever faithful guide.

November 10 2019 Thought for the week

“We want, in fact, not so much a Father in Heaven as a grandfather in heaven—a senile benevolence who, as they say, liked to see young people enjoying themselves, and whose plan for the universe was simply that it might be truly said at the end of each day, a good time was had by all.” -- C. S. Lewis in The Problem of Pain

F. Y. I. – Today is another Ask-the-Pastor Sunday. The subject is
“Tell Me About Heaven!” Because of the nature of this subject,
this will actually be a two-part series continued next week. If you have other questions of Bible interpretation or Christian living that you would like addressed, write them down, give them to Pastor Jim, and he will try to schedule some Sundays in the future to answer them.

Operation Christmas Child - If you have not yet packed a box for OCC, be sure to pick up a brochure that explains what to put in your box, and enclose $9 in the envelope attached, to help with shipping costs. Only two weeks left; boxes need to be at the church by next Sunday, Nov. 17th. Questions? See Vicki.

Nourish Pierce County - During the month of November we are having a special emphasis on donations for the Food Bank. Please bring your food items and put them in the boxes under the coat rack in the foyer. This is an on-going project, but during this month we want to especially bless those who are needy in our local community. For more information, read the back of this bulletin.

Please Note:
The church basement will not be available for any activities this week after Tuesday morning. This is because plans for cleaning the carpet will be carried out . If you are available to help with the moving of the furniture in order that this goal be achieved, please contact Vicki or Betty. Thanks.
