Thought for the Week
All the water in the oceans cannot sink a ship unless it gets inside. Nor can all the trouble in the world harm us unless it gets within us.”

Thought for the Week
“If the church had been aggressive and dynamic and strong, and members of the church had been living wholly sanctified, separated lives, producing the fruit of the Spirit, we would not be in the economic mess that we are in today. The whole key to a successful democratic world, in my opinion, is the church.”
-- Billy Graham (1952).

As We Are
We come to God just as we are
The result of heredity and our lives so far.
We may not know about Him or who He really is
Or that the life we’re looking for is really His.
We know something’s missing; we do not feel complete.
We need to find our way to that blessed mercy seat
We search until He finds us and shows to us the way
That we have been looking for in His choosing, in His day
And then we come to Jesus with our doubts and with our fears
And He brings to us salvation, full of life and joyful tears
We don’t know exactly how it happens, but a new life has begun,
Because we’ve trusted in the Savior, God’s precious Son.
What a gift we have been given, life abundant here and now,
And a life with Him forever that will start right now.

There are unclaimed past copies of ‘Our Daily Bread’. If you are planning a trip to a nursing home, why not take some along to leave there? It would give the residents some good reading.

Life’s Storms
Life’s storms may come; they often do,
Health, financial, relationships too.
They test our resources, faith and love,
And even our trust in God above.
But we must remember, be aware
That our Savior knows, and will show His care.
He will be sure our needs are met
In ways that we cannot forget.
Yes, life’s storms may come; they often do,
But He is there to see us through.

Special Thanks to all of you who helped out with the Memorial Service for Bonnie yesterday. It was such a delight to see our church family lovingly working together for the sake of her family. Now we keep on praying for the family as they walk through the grief, don’t we?

Thanks also to those who helped Terry with our special Men’s Breakfast yesterday. I think we were all blessed by the food and encouraged by the speaker, weren’t we?
