Thought for the Week
“The crosses God now sends you He has considered with His all-knowing eyes, understood with His divine mind, tested with His wise justice, warmed with loving arms and weighed with His own hands to see that it is not one inch too large and not one ounce too heavy for you.”
- Francis de Sales

Thought for the Week
God doesn’t call us to be comfortable. He calls us to trust Him so completely that we are unafraid to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble if He doesn’t come through.”

Directory Change – Judie is moving to apartment D-7. All her other information remains the same.

We are God’s little children, we mean so much to Him
That He sent us Jesus to take away our sin.
He gave us a way for our very heart to change
A brand new way of thinking, our lives to re-arrange
It is not hard to find it, this better way to live
We just need to follow Jesus, to Him our lives we give.
And He will lead and guide us to His Father’s throne
It is the only door to heaven, our eternal home.

Thought for the Week
“Whatever our feelings may be, we need not lower our eyes in the presence of Jesus…(We) need not hide all that is ugly and repulsive in us. Jesus comes not for the super-spiritual but for the wobbly and weak kneed who know they don’t have it all together, and who are not too proud to accept the handout of amazing grace.”

09/11/2016 Thought For The Week

Thought for the Week
True confession is not the mere mental assertion that we have done wrong, for even a thief will admit he’s wrong in the bragging of his accomplishments. No…it is repenting of our evil ways, turning around and doing what’s right and good.”

As many of us today commemorate the anniversary or the traumatic 9-11 terrorist attacks upon our country, we want to offer these words
to all of us to ponder, “In times like this, we realize how weak and inadequate we are, and our greatest need is to turn in repentance and faith to the God of all mercy and the father of all comfort. If ever there was a time for us to turn to God and to pray as a nation, it is now—that this evil will spread no further.” -- Billy Graham.

We are thankful today for the way God honored his Son, Jesus, and the Word at the Memorial Service for Mark’s dad yesterday in Tenino. Thank you for praying for that time, and for your continuing prayers for Mark, Susanna, and the family in the days ahead.

Thanks to all of you who were praying for us on our recent vacation. God was very gracious and kind to us and we had some real special times of resting, sightseeing, and visiting with family and friends.”
