Lord, give us Your eyes that we may see
Just what has been and what’s to be,
Your Word tells us how life began,
How it all started, this life of man,
And what we have to look forward to
When our lives on earth are through
We thank You for the hope it brings
This focus on eternal things.

A Baptismal Service is being planned for tonight at 7:00 P.M., to be held at Summit Christian Fellowship, 84th and Vickery. We would love to include you as part of it. Please see Pastor Jim today and he will answer all your questions.

In autumn nights bring cooler air,
But often days are warm and fair,
Summer’s heat is gone at last,
Tree leaves changing colors fast.
The harvest’s ready to gather in
And fall means time for school to begin.
So let’s enjoy it while it’s here
This ever changing time of year.

Just a reminder that our Food Drive is on-going. Please bring canned and boxed food items and put them in the designated boxes in the foyer. This food is given to Nourish Pierce County Food Bank located just off 84th & Portland Avenue.

Prayer Family of the week: Judie Lindstrom.

A baptismal service is almost here,
The appointed time is drawing near,
Just what do we learn from it
Just where does a baptism fit
In a growing Christian’s earthly walk?
Some things we share just by our talk
But our actions speak louder still
Particularly when we fulfill
The will of God,and follow His plan
For the obedience and growth of man.
Scripture tells us what to do
Repent and be baptized, me and you.
And what does it help us to see?
God’s plan for us for eternity
Plunging under water is a “type” of death
Coming up reminds us that Jesus defeated death ,
He made us new and free from sin,
He made a whole new life begin.
