the dead.” - B. Larson & J. Ogilvie.

F. Y. I. – Next Sunday is another
Ask-the-Pastor Sunday. The subject is How Far Should My Generosity and Giving Go?”
If you have other questions of Bible interpretation or Christian living that you would like addressed, write them down, give them to Pastor Jim, and he will schedule some Sundays in the future to answer them.

Special Thanks to everyone who participated in last week’s Prayer Week. It truly was a very special week and we now look forward to all the ways in which God is responding to the prayers we offered to Him. And there is always the opportunity to continue our times of prayer together on Wednesday nights. Come and join us.

Prayer Family of the Week: Annika Sundquist (and Lennox family).

We see around us everywhere things that remind us of You.
Of the amazing God You are, of the wonderful things You do.
This season has so many events that demonstrate Your power
For example the Passover and Your deliverance in that hour
But something that affects us all today, each and every one,
Is the death and resurrection of Jesus, Your very own Son
His sacrifice can set us free from the power of death, of sin,
And cleansed by His precious holy blood, heaven will let us in.
So we remember His ultimate sacrifice motivated by His love, Prepared for a time ahead when we join Him in heaven above.

April 14, 2019 Thought for the week

Thought for the Week:
“It is absurd to think that God is going to alter things in answer to prayer. But that is what Jesus says He will do. It sounds stupid, but it is a stupidity based on His redemption.”
-- Anon.

Since our Savior knew we needed Him He left His home above
Left the perfection of heaven, motivated by love,
He came to earth to free us from the burden of our sin
To change us, change our very minds and hearts within,
Thank You for Your loving heart that suffered, bled and died
And rose again to show us that the sin-price was satisfied.
