7/31/2015 Mission News

August missionaries of the month are
Jack and Nancy Snyder who have been serving with TEAM in Chad, Africa since 1987 in printing. Our church has been supporting them since they began as missionaries.
News from their recent letter. Please pray:
- for complete healing for their 18 month old granddaughter Aurora who was very sick but is better.
- for their children Janna & Ed and Mark & Janelle and their families that all will walk close to the Lord and grow daily in Him. They have 8 grandchildren.
- need kitchen helpers from the US for their annual conference Nov. 28-Dec. 5 in N’Djarmena. Each person needs to pay their own airfare.
- for health & safety for their Chadian missionaries. Recent medical issues and death..
- for their replacements before they retire in 2019. Needed: a person/couple with administrative skills, computer business accounting skills, basic digital and some “handyman” abilities.
-.for their busy printing schedule at this time – the 2016 agendas, hymnals, discipleship and training lessons and a host of other things.
- that the late rains would still allow time for crops to succeed. Without these crops, people will go hungry.
- for the situation on their station which is approx. 12 acres – about 4 city blocks in size. They need help. Each day is filled with “divine interruptions, blessed inconveniences, and God opportunities/encounters.”
- for the nation of Chad for God’s protection and for the lost, confused souls that believe in a lie for getting to heaven even t9 the point of suicide.
- for their granddaughter Alyssa who is moming soon to stay with them for up to a year, for her adjustment. (She is a young teen.)
They say THANKS for our continued support, financially and prayerfully.

July Missionary of the month is Lois McMartin, who ministers with EFCA Reach Global “Encouraging and Equipping Missionaries for Effective Ministry”. Here are some recent excerpts from the “McMartin News”.
As a member care worker I have the privilege of coming alongside people at all stages of their missionary life – from recruitment through retirement. This past month, I worked with missionaries who had just been accepted as missionaries, others who were leaving the agency, and others still fully engaged in their place of ministry. Sometimes my days are filled meeting with missionaries face-to-face, and sometimes the whole day is spent sitting at my computer. Several times a week I have Skype conversations with people in various places around the world. Keeping on top of my e-mail inbox as well as the many other responsibilities that go along with being a leader in a mission agency, keep me more than busy even when I’m not traveling. Thank you so very much for your prayers for this ministry!”

Coming Events: July 7-8: Debriefing in Minneapolis, July 12: Giving a missionary update at United EFC in Klamath Falls, OR, July 19-29: In Slovenia for the Europe area conference.

Her husband, David, is a retired Free Church pastor and serves with Interim Pastor Ministries when needed. They are the parents of two adult children and have 5 grandsons. See their current newsletter and picture on the missions bulletin board.
